WELCOME!
Worship with us in our historic sanctuary, built as Grace Church in 1820. Grace Church merged with
St Peter's on the Hill in 1990, becoming Grace and St Peter's.
In 2022, upon the merger of Grace and St Peter's with St John the Evangelist, formerly of Yalesville,
the congregation is now known as Grace and St John's.
COME AND SEE
We are a Christian community welcoming and accepting of all people for worship, praise, fellowship, prayer, and service.
We strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being.
ABOUT OUR CHURCH
Grace and St John’s is an Episcopal church. The Episcopal Church is a member province of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
The mission of the church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism (p. 855), is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.”

Worship, study, conversation, and fellowship build the faith that finds its expression in outreach to our neighbors.
OUTREACH MINISTRIES
The promises we make at our baptism include vows to “seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves,” and to “strive for justice and peace, and respect the dignity of every human being.”

We welcome volunteers from the wider community to join us in any of the many ways we reach out to our neighbors.

GROWING IN FAITH
Prayer, music, the sacraments and the church seasons lift our spirits and anchor our lives. On this foundation, we find many ways to learn, listen, and share, and to be present for each other and for our neighbors.
Classes, forums and activities for children, teens, and adults; service on a committee or a project; a retreat, a Christmas pageant, a parish picnic -- all of these build relationships and community, and bring us together to share our journeys of faith.
